Storrorblog
As I make this post I am in London, so I’m running with the UK theme. This ‘Pick of The Net‘ is three video’s from the Storror boys, a group of friends who have been making Parkour videos for the last 8 years. I have been fascinated by where the art of Parkour has been going over the last few decades, the art and discipline of moving through an urban (and sometimes natural) environment in unique and often acrobatic ways.
I started following these guys a while ago when I stumbled on the first video below. They are full ‘lads’ but there is an obvious real friendship and there is an infectious nature about their videos. They have become super popular (with over 2 million youtube subscribers to date) over the last year or so from their consistent release of a new video every week. It became their ‘religion’ they say in one video. And even though what they do is often illegal, basically dangerously trespassing onto roofs, recently they have been backed by Canon Uk to make one of their latest videos – see the last one below.
I know this isn’t circus or cabaret but I think a lot of Carnival Cinema readers will appreciate their videos.
*Disclaimer: As I said before, they are lads, they swear quite a bit and I wouldn’t encourage anyone to do what they do, its super dangerous, illegal and would be terrible for your body especially if you want a career as an acrobat……but it makes for good viewing.
I hope you enjoyed those, maybe your inspired to hop over the gate instead of opening it next time but I wouldn’t push it further haha.

Peace & Respect,
Hamish
