This Pic of The Week is of the excellent Laurie Hagen, I snapped it backstage at Club Swizzle in the Roundhouse, Camden.
The dressing room preshow is an interesting environment, usually, multiple cast members are sharing that space and often have quite different ways of focussing and prepping for a show, sometimes filled with excited energy and others with a focused calm. A space where performers shed their day/civilian/real-world selves and prepare to go on and present the ‘tuned up’ version, it is an often private and personal space, that needs to be respected. I wanted to acknowledge and say thank you to all who have allowed me access to that space to document you over the years.
