This weeks ‘Pic of The Week‘ is a sneaky portrait I took of my brother-in-arms – Carnival Cinema Co-Founder and Showman extraordinaire Captain Frodo, as he was going through his routine behind Spaghetti Circus‘s defunct truck we affectionately call ‘Heidi’, just before walking onto stage at the Mullum Circus Festival 2017.

I have been pointing a video camera at this guy since 2002 – some of which has been edited into the (ongoing when I get a chance 😉 ) web series The Way of The Showman: The Life and Times of Captain Frodo.

So he’s super used to me putting a camera in his face – in this shot he was midway through walking through his intro when I whistled he looked up, struck this pose then just went back to walking through, creating this not-so-candid portrait.
