The Manifesto 9#
I have spent a large chunk of my life on a stage. I’m not an actor, I was always being a version of myself. One of my favourite parts of myself. The part I found it hard to be offstage. Part of my job was being seen. I had to make sure I was in the right place and lit well. I had to find my light.
The reason I am telling you this story is because sometimes in life it’s hard to find our light. The transition from being a performer to a counsellor took time for me to adjust. I couldn’t find my light. We often need to reinvent ourselves, change and play multiple roles. Through therapy and self discovery I felt the warmth of my light return. I found my light and it shone loads brighter than any PARcan ever did. (no disrespect to any of the brilliant technicians I ever worked with). Sometimes all it takes to find your light is a small step to the side. Step into it. Don’t look for it, feel it. It’s warm.
