Razor baby – Club Swing 1998

I’d like to draw your attention to this hidden gem, a quite candid ‘making of’ documentary made by Stella Motion Pictures of the kick arse circus company Club Swing making their 1998 production Razor Baby. 

Featuring and celebrating the amazing group of strong women (and Jeremy) who made it:

On Stage: Anni Davey, Kathryn Niesche, Kareena (Oates) Hodgson, Simone O’Brien, Celia White, Jeremy Smith.

Directed by Gail Kelly with production crew  Tarla Bonoff, Clytie Smith, Carmel Duffey (and many more I’m sure) and aerial training by Rita Van Opzeeland. 

Its hard to find reference to Club Swing online in the digital world (I had to pinch the feature pic of Anni’s Facebook page!) so I wanted to throw a spotlight on this video and make sure it can be found for reference of this awesome company. Also as part of Carnival Cinema‘s manifesto of celebrating and exposing our rich recent history.
