Carnival Cinema & Gravity & Other Myths present the new video series Sticks & Stones: Behind the Scenes of BACKBONE.
This is Episode #1 – A Brief History of Gravity & Other Myths A little insight into how the company came about with a focus on their show that put them on the world stage – A Simple Space.
Series Background
Back in February the GOM crew got me down to document them making & premiering their latest work BACKBONE at Adelaide Festival 2017. I was to make the show promotional material and a little ‘behind the scenes’ video. When I got to the edit I realised I had more material that I wanted to put out than would fit on just one video, so I decided to make this series instead. Sticks & Stones takes you not only ‘behind the scenes‘ of BACKBONE but also gives you a rare insight into the workings of one of Australia’s leading circus companies, how they create work, train their skills and run a company.
